LAW OF PRIORITIES

Hi Folks, it's really been a while since my last post...

Want to share something with y'all... I call it "Law Of Priorities"

        Solomon was giving a chance to ask the LORD for anything, instead of asking for Riches and Fame... He asked for Wisdom to lead his people well, and God responded by rewarding Him with benefits that follow Wisdom.

This were his options...

EASY THINGS FIRST: He could have chosen to focus on the easy tasks ahead.

FUN THINGS FIRST: He could have chosen to focus on Riches and Fame.

URGENT THINGS FIRST: He could have asked the LORD for help in building the temple.

HARD THINGS FIRST: He could have sought favor with those who didn't like him.

"FIRST THINGS FIRST": Instead, he chose to seek WISDOM so he could glorify GOD.
And every other benefits of wisdom followed him thereafter.

Lets learn to put FIRST things FIRST!!!

FIVE STEPS TO POWERFUL WORSHIP DANCE

Hi Folks...
Today we will be looking at...
5 steps to Powerful Worship dance.

An ancient Chinese proverb says
"One may judge a King by the state of Dancing during his reign" and actually that quote sounds a lot like one of my favorite Scriptures, Ecclesiastes 3:4 "There is a time to Mourn and a time to Dance.
As Dance ministers, it is not just our goal to spread the Gospel through dance, but to also create an atmosphere of worship were ever we Minister.

STEP ONE

Position yourself as a Worship Leader

You are more than a dancer, you are a Minister and dance is a medium that you use to lead the people of God into Worship. It is very important that you have the mindset of a Worship leader, so we must change our vocabulary from "Oh! I'm going to perform or... I'm just going to dance" to "I'm going to Minister or I'm going to lead Worship"

As a Worship leader do not be satisfied with ordinary dances that lead to responses like "Oh that was a nice dance or... you dance so beautiful"
When we make a powerful impact and lead Worship with dance... We will get responses like "Oh when you ministered in dance i saw the glory of the Lord" or "When you danced the atmosphere changed in this place"

STEP TWO

Dance at Home

Dance in a secret place... have a Prayer and Dance Closet. When you dance in your closet, you give back to God the gift of dance He gave to you. It's a sad thing if you can only dance for the public eyes... Make it a sacrifice of praise for the Lords Eyes Only.
Only then will you begin to get New and Divine inspiration on how to dance properly for the Lord.
Give your dance to the Lord first, dance with Him, before Him, at Home, In your Private place and you will see a great Change.

STEP THREE

Focus On The Dance

If dance is what God has called you to do. Pour yourself into the Ministry.
Sometimes i meet dancers that are involved in so many things other than Dance.
These other ministries are good to be a part of, but dance takes so much from us emotionally, physically and mentally. If you are torn in different directions it might become burdensome to minister with Joy, Excellence and Power.
I'm not saying you shouldn't be involved in other things, but really Pray and make sure it's what God would have you do. We have other things in our lives that we are responsible for (family, school, work e.t.c), so just be wise,focus your energy and time... Dance for the Lord!

STEP FOUR

Become A Lifelong Student Of The Art Of Dance

In Christian Dance we might come into d dance ministry with no formal dance training wondering if training is necessary for Ministry. God can use us right were we are and if we want to dance in excellence, avoid injuries with longevity, then Training is a must. "Study to show yourselves approved ..." so says the Scriptures. I encourage all Worship dancers to get more training and to study various types of dance. Looking at dance will make you a better Student of Dance. A dance education can only help you be more powerful for the Lord in the Dance Ministry.

STEP FIVE

There Is No Place Like Home Church

If you know Jesus as your Saviour you should be part of a local fellowship. I don't mean just going in and out and then Dancing all over the world. I mean really grafted in the life of the Church.
You should know the Pastor... and the Pastor or Leadership should know you. Give your services and Resources to your Church and you will receive the Church's resources, prayer support, and Pastoral covering. This is important for your protection and accountability.
The Dance Ministry is a serious ministry and we should be accountable for the things we do outside of the Local body. So please have your roots planted in a Church or Fellowship.

TWO SIDES OF A "COIN"

Hi Folks, today was a day of Mixed reactions for me, I had a taste of two sides of a coin called "MINISTRY".
Let me Start by thanking the Lord for the Life of all living beings!
While rushing to Church in a taxi cab for a Dance Ministration, i noticed an unusual spectacle around Apapa. A bus parked by the road side was giving out Free Meals to roadside beggars, cripples, touts and what we Nigerians would popularly describe as Less privileged.

What actually caught my attention was the popular logo of the REDEEMED CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF GOD (R.C.C.G) on the bus.

Many people gathered in a single file as Free Meals where handed to them this Blessed Morning, and i thought to myself... What greater show of the Love of Christ by the Church could exist in this cruel and selfish world, than a selfless participation in the welfare of total strangers?

A miracle was taking place in broad daylight in the life of many, through a show of love and care for our fellow man. May God replenish all the effort invested by the REDEEMED CHURCH.

That sadly brings us to the other side of the COIN... Churches or Ministries as they are called seem to have forgotten the essence of their existence.
A lot of churches, chase after Money...Money!.... and More Money!!!
Actually Money is important in Ministry, but the question is... FOR WHAT!!!????
Churches pride themselves in Building State of the Art structures, having Million Naira investments, and Focus less on what is Needed.... SOUL WINNING.
The only Reason the World remains a reckless place is Because Ministries have sold their Souls to "Capitalism, Prosperity messages and Projects."
The needy, less privileged and a lot of Unbelievers hear the Gospel Of Christ but don't seem to believe, simply because We cant "Live what we Preach".
Drama, Choral and Dance Ministries that exist in Churches are viewed as ENTERTAINMENT by Leaders Of the Churches and are Constantly frustrated, due to lack of financial support or encouragement in Using them as TOOLS for EVANGELISM and SOUL WINNING.
A lot of Churches have Lost Sight on What is Expedient, which is the Everyday Battle For Souls by the Kingdoms Of LIGHT AND DARKNESS.

God will Save Us.... but all i can say is "Do something GREAT for JESUS... Bleed For The TRUTH... and above all.... WAKE UP!!!
